SecurityX (CASP+): CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner

CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+) is an advanced-level certification for technical professionals who wish to remain immersed in hands-on technology rather than transitioning into strictly management roles like the CISSP tracks. The exam covers advanced enterprise security architecture, security operations, and the integration of cryptography and mobile security in complex, hybrid environments. Candidates are tested on their ability to assess enterprise risk and implement secure solutions across cloud, on-premise, and virtualized infrastructures without vendor-specific reliance. It places a heavy emphasis on analyzing security requirements for hybrid networks and conducting vulnerability assessments using interpreted results from scanning tools. It is compliant with ISO 17024 and is approved by the US DoD for IAM Level II and IAT Level III roles.
