PwnHero is an educational platform designed to help users develop and enhance their cybersecurity knowledge through interactive quizzes, challenges, and learning modules. Our platform covers topics including networking, web security, cryptography, and reverse engineering.

By accessing or using PwnHero, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use PwnHero. If you are under 18 years of age, we recommend obtaining consent from a parent or guardian before creating an account.

5. Donations

PwnHero is a free educational platform supported by community donations. We do not offer premium subscriptions or paywalled content.

  • Donations are voluntary and do not unlock exclusive features
  • All donations are non-refundable
  • We appreciate your support in keeping the platform free for everyone

6. Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with third-party services to provide certain features:

  • Community Access: Discord integration for community features is subject to Discord's terms of service.

PwnHero is not responsible for the availability, performance, or data practices of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property & User-Generated Content

PwnHero operates as an interactive computer service provider and platform for User-Generated Content (UGC). We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. By uploading content, including questions, explanations, study guides, code samples, or other educational materials, you retain your copyright, but you grant PwnHero a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the platform.

PwnHero does not pre-screen, monitor, or endorse User-Generated Content. Under the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), PwnHero is not liable for copyright infringement committed by its users. If you believe your copyright has been violated by a user upload, please refer to our DMCA Policy for instructions on filing a takedown notice.

The core platform engine, design, and code remain the intellectual property of PwnHero. Reproduction or commercial use of our proprietary platform architecture is prohibited without written consent.

8. User Content Warranty

By submitting or uploading content to PwnHero, you warrant and represent that:

  • You own the intellectual property rights to the content or have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses to share it.
  • The content does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets of any third party (including universities, professors, or publishers).
  • You will not upload active, current, or stolen university exams, proprietary lecture notes, or any material that violates your institution's academic integrity policies.
  • You will not upload actual questions from any professional certification exam (including but not limited to CompTIA, Cisco, EC-Council, (ISC)², ISACA, GIAC, or OffSec exams) that are protected by non-disclosure agreements, trade secrets, or intellectual property rights.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PwnHero, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms (including any claims regarding copyright infringement related to content you have uploaded).

10. Educational Disclaimer

PwnHero provides a platform for users to share educational content for learning purposes. We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as certifications, job placements, or skill mastery.

The skills and knowledge you gain depend on your dedication and practice. The user-contributed materials hosted on the platform are meant to supplement, not replace, formal education or professional training.

11. Limitation of Liability

PwnHero is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PwnHero shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but may occasionally need to perform maintenance or updates. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes or scheduled downtime when possible.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform in any way.
