STA 2023: Statistics

An introductory course in statistical reasoning and methodology. Covers descriptive statistics, frequency distributions, probability rules, binomial and normal distributions, central limit theorem, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, and linear regression.

• Probability theory: sample spaces, conditional probability, Bayes' Theorem, and random variables in STA 2023
• Probability distributions: discrete (Binomial, Poisson, Geometric) and continuous (Normal, Uniform, Exponential) models
• Inferential statistics: Central Limit Theorem, confidence interval estimation, and hypothesis testing (t-tests, ANOVA, Chi-Square)
• Regression analysis: simple/multiple linear regression, correlation coefficients, R-squared, and residual diagnostics in Statistics
